Empowering Commercial Female Sex Workers: Rights & Unionization Workshop

Standup Movement Lanka organized a workshop for commercial female sex workers across Gampaha, Colombo, Puththalama, Koggala, and Polonnaruwa districts, focusing on labor rights and their right to unionization. The workshop aimed to provide participants with vital information about their legal protections, the importance of collective action, and the empowerment that comes with unionizing for better working conditions and advocacy.

By fostering awareness and solidarity, we strive to ensure that all workers, regardless of profession, have the tools and knowledge to assert their rights and improve their livelihoods.
